WHAT IS
S.T.E.A.M?

S.T.E.A.M.

S.T.E.A.M. stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math, these are the focal points of our days at MA in every classroom. You can find components of these topics in everything we do! These early experiences help develop a natural curiosity to the world around them, develop critical thinking, independence and problem solving, and flexibility.

The easiest thing you can do at home is go outside! Nature is basically one giant STEAM classroom. Kids observe insects and clouds, collect and sort by shape and color, they learn vocabulary and think and smell and learn to use all their senses. These are examples of early math skills as well as scientific concepts.

STEAM for infants through school-aged children and even adults can be something as simple as stacking blocks to those complex Lego sets at Disney to fancy Engineering degrees - Build something! Cooking is a great way to learn some math skills, and it has a social component with good conversation and taking turns SHARING.

The A part of STEAM is everyone's favorite, child and adult alike - take a moment to flip through our photo library for some photos of class projects.
